I just installed some sunrisers on my twofish. White in the front, red in the back, like it ought to be.

Last weekend we profited from the windy days to do some landkiting. While I am just slowly getting the hang of my kitewing, Franky had some fun on the mountainboard. The weather was quite variable, we had the choice between kiting in wind and rain, or drying in the sun with calm winds. The spot however is quite great - a large construction site in the middle of Berlin, which will become an ice hockey stadium sometime. The ground is perfectly flat, rocky and hard. The surroundings are largely unspoilt from buildings, allowing the wind to pass. (more…)

serra carvei - Last week, I rode the twofish with freebord trucks as I originally intended, and found that it did not work out. The stance you had to adopt was too far from the trucks, resulting in an increased leverage opposing your turns. Apparently you really have to stand between the center wheel and the edges on a freebord.

Lesson learned. I therefore decided (with a bleeding heart) to trim the nose and the tail of this board. I already knew that, with the original trucks, the board would be turny. However, my current setup really made this a carve machine. Original S10 trucks, 85mm black kryptonics and a flex that is just right and this thing has become a real joyride.
